Shannon Memorial LibraryCheck It Out! Come and check out our well-stocked library. There are many selections for children, students, adults and families. It is located between the Sanctuary and the Common Grounds Cafe. Children are welcome, and there is a great supply of picture, story and young adult books. The library is a great resource for all church members. Books and media can be checked out for a couple of weeks at a time. The system is self-service, and you are welcome to browse, sit and read, use the table for studying or playing quiet board games. Hours. The Library is open on Sunday mornings. At other times, you can borrow a key from the office to gain access. Most materials can be checked out to take home. Special Services. If you are homebound, or know someone who is, you may request that a volunteer bring you a selection of books and videos. Volunteers are also available to read to the visually-impaired. Books for Charities. The library supports book drives for donations to worthy causes and raises funds for SMART (Start Making a Reader Today) volunteer tutoring program in the local elementary schools. Bring a new children's book on your birthday to the "Birthday Books for Kids" box on the library cart, to be distributed by Willamette Writers to local charities.
