I'm New
If you are a newcomer to St. Andrew's or possibly to the Christian faith, our mission may seem ambitious. The good news is that you can become involved at St. Andrew's in whatever way you find comfortable and you will meet others along the way who will become a part of your life. Together we will take steps to know God better, grow in faith and spiritual maturity, build our community, and discover our purpose.
Our Primary Beliefs
Presbyterians, along with all other Christians, affirm Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. This is the central belief of the church, and the only belief necessary for membership in the Presbyterian Church. All individuals who affirm Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior; commit to trusting in him; and seek to be his disciples, obey his word, and show his love are welcome to become members of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church.
We view the church primarily as a community whose purpose is to share the love of God in Jesus Christ in word and deed among each other and with all the world.
Worship
We believe worshipping God together as a faith community is central to strong relationships with God in Jesus Christ. Worship is the heart of all that we do. It allows us to draw strength and inspiration from God, who is our Creator, Savior and Spirit-companion. Each Sunday we gather to:
Hear God speak to us through the Scriptures;
Apply God’s word to the practical dimensions of everyday living;
Confess our sin and receive Christ’s forgiveness;
Commune with Christ in the sacraments of the Lord’s Supper and baptism;
Pray for the concerns of one another and our world;
Express our thanks for the guidance and support of the Holy Spirit;
Respond to God’s grace by committing ourselves anew to witness to the love and justice of Christ in our homes, workplaces, and neighborhoods.
